Mayowa Lynette

Mayowa Lynette is a film-maker, stand-up comedian and artist originally from Atlanta, Georgia but currently living in Berlin. She is the founder and organizer of ISSA Comedy show, a monthly sold out showcase highlighting marginalized voices within stand-up comedy. She is the director and producer of documentary film “Acting White” which was awarded the official selection for the Berlin Feminist Film Week (2017). Additionally, Mayowa is the founder of MayowasWorld- a production company that focuses on tackling social issues through a comedic lens. Her work has been featured in various publications including Vogue Italia, Nike, Indie-Mag, Art News Africa, Zalando and Okay Africa. She is currently a 2018 German Chancellor Fellow with the Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation.
